Resource & Advocacy Services

Individual and Family Counseling

Family Services’ Resources and Advocacy Programs are rooted in dignity, empowerment, and holistic care. We support survivors and families experiencing poverty or crisis through compassionate non-residential case management, financial advocacy, and connection to essential community resources. Our team walks alongside each individual, honoring their strengths, reducing barriers, and fostering pathways to safety, resilience, and long-term stability.

Payment

Fees for services are based on a client’s ability to pay.  We accept private payment, insurance (see below), medical assistance and other third party payments.  Access to services is determined by our ability to provide the most appropriate service, not by an individual’s ability to pay.

Advocacy

Advocacy services through DEFY’s Domestic Abuse Program and the Sexual Assault Recovery Program (SARP) are grounded in dignity, empowerment, and healing. Our advocates walk alongside individuals and families, providing the compassionate support they need to regain independence, rebuild stability, and feel safe in their community.

Neighborhood Resilience Project

The Neighborhood Resilience Project supports single Beloit parents living in poverty by providing mission-centered resources that strengthen safety, stability, and long-term wellbeing. Participants receive parenting resources, employment and education readiness support, and opportunities to connect with their community.

Financial Advocacy

Financial Advocacy provides compassionate, person-centered case management that empowers individuals and families to build financial stability and long-term resilience.
