Beloit, WI-Family Services of So. Wisconsin’s DEFY program is pleased to announce its upcoming Healing Through Art Workshop, as part of Domestic Violence Month. This workshop is designed to empower individuals to harness the therapeutic potential of art as a means of healing, self-expression, and personal growth. This transformative workshop will take place on Thursday, October 21, from 2 to 5 pm at the Beloit Public Library at 605 Eclipse Boulevard, Classroom 111. This event is free to the public and limited to the first 25 registrants. Refreshments and art supplies will be provided.
Art has long been recognized as a powerful tool for emotional expression and healing. The Healing Through Art Workshop offers participants an opportunity to explore their inner world, release suppressed emotions, and develop strategies for personal resilience and growth. This unique workshop is suitable for individuals of all ages and backgrounds, whether you are an experienced artist or a complete novice.
Participants will be guided by local artists Kelly Gratz of the Creative Little Octopus Studio and Mandy Chitwood of Healing Hearts Through Art on a transformative journey of self-discovery and healing through the power of art to help individuals take the first step towards a more resilient and empowered you. The workshop will be conducted in a nurturing and non-judgmental environment, fostering a sense of community and connection among participants.
