NO MONEY TO SPARE, BUT I CAN GIVE MY TIME.
Maybe for you (like for most of us) money is tight right now, and that's ok. You can still help us defy domestic abuse. You can support us by volunteering.
DONATE AS LITTLE OR AS MUCH OF YOUR TIME AS YOU’D LIKE
Don't worry, volunteering isn't a new job contract or a long-term commitment. You can volunteer as much of your time as you’d like, no matter if it’s a little or a lot.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
Also, it’s ok if this is your first time volunteering at a domestic abuse survivor’s center. It’s also ok if this is your first time volunteering anywhere.
After filling out a volunteer application, you’ll go through an orientation and training. We’ll guide you through everything you’ll need to help us defy domestic abuse.
CHOOSE HOW YOU’D LIKE TO VOLUNTEER
From landscaping to answering the call line, there’s many ways your volunteering can support us. We’ll talk you through all the areas we need help with right now so you can find the most fulfilling way to volunteer your time.
Here's some of the ways you can volunteer your time:
- Helping with:
-----Support groups
-----our 24hr Call Line
-----on-site child care
-----light building maintenance and landscaping
-----public awareness campaigns
-----fundraising and program events
-----Domestic Awareness Month activities in October
-----(and even with our blog and social media).
RIGHT NOW, BECOME A VOLUNTEER
To volunteer,
1. fill out an application here (which takes less than 2 minuets) and
2. Watch your email.
After reviewing your application, we’ll reach out to you to schedule your orientation and training.
